All entries must be finished pieces from one of the categories of threaded needle techniques.
The show committee may reassign categories or the judge if appropriate based on the piece.
Entries must be submitted by November 7, 2008.
It is preferred that all entries be mailed. If you wish to submit your entry in person, prior approval and arrangements must be made with the show registrar. Entrants must pay for all shipment costs. Locust Quilt and Craft assumes no responsibility for pieces damaged during transit.

Various needlework techniques will be demonstrated during the show. The Hilton Columbia will house the exhibit.
About the Contest
First Place $ 200
Second Place $ 100
Third Place $ 50
The piece must be in a completely finished state, such as framed or stitched into a pillow or finished item. Needlework items hand-worked with a needle with an eye including Embroidery, Needlepoint, Cross Stitch, etc.
'It's in the Stars' Needlework Contest
Show off your needlework art and techniques at the 2008 WinterFest Needlework Competition. What a great way to display your needlework talent and see the talent of others. It is your time to shine.
Entry forms are below and are available at your local needlework shop. If your local shop does not have forms, please let us know so we can get them there! You may also use the on-line entry form below.
Unframed items to include but not limited to: pillows,
bellpulls, etuis, 3-D Forms,
Tablecloths, and wearing apparel
Framed Needlepoint includes all framed needlepoint
Surface Embroidery includes non-counted techniques
such as: Crewel, Brazilian,
Cutwork, Pulled Work (3-D figures), Redwork Silk and
Metal Embroidery
Machine embroidery is not eligible.
