Renowned and published Beading Artist Joins 2008 WinterFest Quilt and Craft Show
Paulette Baron has been beading since 1994, and shortly after began teaching bead weaving classes in the Washington, D.C. area. In addition to teaching around her home base, Paulette has also teaches at the Bead and Button Show, Bead Expo, and at Bead Fest.
Paulette’s freeform sculptural brick stitch work is featured in Diane Fitzgerald's book, "Beading With the Brick Stitch." Two of her freeform sculptural peyote creatures are in the 2005-2006 traveling exhibition "The Beaded Figure." Paulette is one of the artists featured in the Japanese publication “The Best Collection of Beadweaving Stitches by 9 American Bead Artists” by Kumiko Mizuno Ito. Her Pinwheel Garden necklace won 2nd place in the 2005 Bead Dreams exhibit and appeared in the 2006-2007 Dairy Barn International Bead traveling exhibit. This necklace will also appear on the title page of Margie Deeb’s new book, “The Beader’s Color Palette: 20 Creative Projects and 220 Inspired Combinations for Beaded and Gemstone Jewelry” to be published in the summer of 2008. She was also asked to create a new piece for this book.
She now has a website www.paulettebaron.com which features her beadwork and classes that she teaches. She also sells kits on her website of many of her projects
Although Paulette has become well known in the beading community, she still strives to create unique and original pieces that will both satisfy her need to create and keep her students busy with new projects.
